SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT & CONTENT CREATION

I developed the overall voice and strategy for @thewarriorcatsofficial Instagram account before officially launching it in March of 2019. The account gained 2K+ organic followers in its first week with an average 75% engagement rate across all posts, and far exceeded expectations when it hit 10K+ followers in less than two months. I was the sole content manager on the account until I left HarperCollins in June of 2019.

I took over management for the Warriors Facebook page in 2016 and developed the overall voice and strategy for the page. While the Warriors brand is for 8- to 12-year-olds, I began to notice our Facebook audience was primarily comprised of young adults who had read the books as kids and were still huge fans. However, this meant we weren't capturing new readers or engaging our younger fans. This is why I advocated for more YouTube video content and an Instagram account, to better capture the younger segment of our audience.

A Series of Unfortunate Events
Writing copy for the A Series of Unfortunate Events Facebook page was so much fun! I worked in conjunction with our Brand Manager before eventually running the Facebook account on my own. The brand's dry, snarky sense of humor shaped the voice of the Facebook account and the marketing campaigns. When Netflix created its own series based on the books it gave me more opportunity to have fun with the brand, urging our audience to "Read something else." The fans ate it up and at times continued riffing off the sarcastic copy in the comments, sending our engagement rates soaring.
